Rockall's foreign policy is primarily directed towards other micronations, however Rockall also recognises the vast majority of 'macronations' (sovereign states). It also supports the future independence of some nations that are yet to exist as a sovereign state, and has territorial disputes with several other nations.
Rockall also aspires to join the United Nations and European Union one day, as unrealistic as that might be.

On 15th of July 2025 Rockallish voters took part in a referendum on the micronation’s membership of the European Union. Following the vote, 60% were in favour of Rockall joining the European Union. Whilst Rockall as a micronation cannot actually join the European Union, the government has chosen to fly the flag of Europe along side the national flag of Rockall as a symbolic gesture. Rockall also uses the Euro as its currency.
